Tokyo is a city that never sleeps.
You’ll find convenience stores, karaoke places, bars, even cafes that are open 24/7.
If there’s one thing among Tokyo’s nightlife you should try during your visit here though, it would definitely be the Izakayas / Japanese style bars!
We get asked by our clients quite a lot about good places to drink / try Japanese culture nearby our area (many of our clients stay in Shinjuku, close to where we are located)
We would like to write about an Izakaya we enjoy going to, that’s only a few steps away from us!

If you’re feeling hungry and want proper meals, they also do some noodle dishes!
They do a spicy noodle dish if you are feeling some spice!
Mine was made especially spicy but they won’t serve it to you this spicy unless you ask them to haha.
They cook the broth for this noodle dish for hours and hours which gives the soup a deep taste. Definitely recommend this for rainy days!

This is the TKM (short for Tamago-Kake-Men or Egg Over Noodles) which is a noodle version of the popular TKG (short for Tamago-Kake-Gohan or Egg Over Rice)
(Raw eggs in Japan go through strict quality check and are safe to eat!)
Very creamy and eggy! (Obviously lol)

The manager of this Izakaya actually has experience making sushi in a sushi restaurant so you will sometimes find sushi in the menu when he’s able to get fresh fish that day!
(The tuna avocado sashimi is one thing I make sure to get every visit)

This izakaya changes up their seasonal menu based on what ingredients they find in the market (so you can be sure their ingredients are fresh!)
You’ll find new things to try even if you visit multiple times in your trip.
Here’s some baby corn that the manager decided to grill for me because he just happened to find some in the market that day.

As you may have guessed from looking at their name, their shop name was inspired by Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z! Check out their cool logo!

If you tell the manager, Yoshi-san, you are a client of Japan Tattoo he might give you extra haha
Vegeta Opening Times:
Monday – Friday 17:30~23:30
Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays 16:00~23:30
Last Order for food is 22:30 and 23:00 for drinks
They accept VISA and Mastercard payments too so don’t worry about cash!
Note that it is quite a small Izakaya so it may be hard to get seated if you are in a big group.
