June is the start of the rainy season in Japan. Prepare your umbrellas if you are going to visit Tokyo this month. It might make sightseeing more difficult, but there are lots of good things coming with rainy season too! Many stores have “rainy day campaigns”, for example drugstores! You can get a discount for certain items if you happen to come on a rainy day.
Another good things is the ubiquitous hydrangeas around Tokyo! There are even festivals held for that beautiful fluffy flower. Check out Hakusan Shrine Hydrangea Festival held from June 9th until June 17th!
