Our studio is located about 10 minutes on foot from Shinjuku Station — close to some rather interesting places like Golden Gai, Shinjuku 2-Chome, Shinjuku Gyoen or Hanazono Shrine. We would definitely recommend doing some sightseeing before or after your tattoo appointment!
It is getting hotter in Japan — summer is coming and that means that the summer festival season is on! A 3-day festival with street food and omikoshi (portable shrine) has ended just yesterday, but worry not! The annual purification ritual will be held on June 30th! Don’t miss it if you are in Tokyo! It is a great chance to see a piece of traditional Japanese culture.
There are many events held at Hanazono Shrine. Every Sunday from 9 am to 3 pm you have a chance to find real antique Japanese treasures — coins, woodblock prints, dolls, kimono, masks or even antique musical instruments! We would highly recommend visiting the Hanazono Shrine antique market at least once!
